CHINATOWN FUTURES

A conversation about contemporary Chinatown community organizing, development, and cultural production as expressions of hope. Reflecting on the context of COVID-19, single room occupancy (SRO), real estate speculation, and re-emerging anti-Asian racism across the country, how does a community develop a vision for its own future, and what is the role of activist artists?

Panelists: Gordon Chin and Erika Gee (Chinatown Community Development Center), dancer / choreographer Lenora Lee, visual artist Vida Kuang, and curator Hoi Leung (Chinese Culture Center of San Francisco), moderated by Chinese Culture Center's Executive Director, Jenny Leung.

Chinatown Futures is part of the Council of Community Housing San Francisco Affordable Housing Week.
